TIPS TO TAKE YOU THROUGH THE WINTER

Ah wonderful… at last a few warm days and time to shed our winter clothes.  Heading out to the stores?

1.  CORAL  

 This colour choice can range from orangey red corals, true coral and into the soft peachy coral.  Adding a touch of this colour in the way of a scarf, nail polish, lip colour, tote, handbag, shoes and other accessories will give you the pop to bring the season’s hottest trend into your wardrobe.  It’s such a fun color and I am so glad it has made a come back.

2.   BOHO

Earthy is always sensational.  These natural colour choices let our spirits be free.   Be classy, breezy and cool in linens, jute inspired bags and totes.  Chunky, long or oversized pendants and necklaces in pretty beads, woods, brass, copper or the newest trend – scarf necklaces.   Add turquoise teal, coral orange or kaki greens and you are set to say:  “Look at me!  I am feeling wonderful!”  And don’t forget – totally nude lip colours and lots of gloss!

Designers are crazy for stripes this year and it’s crazy fun to add stripes to your trendy fashions.  Keeping your ‘stripes’ stylish is important.   Keep in mind your figure and how much or which stripe is for you.  Or, can your personality handle stripes?  Maybe it’s only in an accessory.   Wearing a horizontal stripe will add width ~   vertical stripes will add height which means slimming.  Do you want subtle or like going bold – it’s all in the stripe!  Remember it has to say ‘yes’ to you.

5.  WIDE LEG JEANS & PANTS

Either casual wide leg jeans or a soft draping evening pant are popular and very stylish.  Choose wider pant leg with care especially if you have a wider hip area or you are  petite.  Then it will be important to have a gradual flare.   If fabric is flowy and moves as you walk it will create a nice harmony or rhythm to your figure and look.  If you are petite add a heel to give you height and fashion appeal.

 Accessories are such a great accompaniment to any outfit.  There is a fantastic variety to choose from and prices are so affordable that you can re-invent a classic or favourite look from a few seasons ago just by adding  current accessories.   New sunglasses, eyewear, hand bags, totes, cross over bags,  hair bands, jewellery, scarves, belts, sandals and shoes.  They are all just too much fun. This year you’ll find them in all the colourful choices for the season plus stripes, floral, animal prints and metallic. Bring on the bling!
